Robo Girl

K so i spent tall of yesterday working on ideas and got nothing. So i started working today on a portrait and thought of a way to incorporate what the reflective quality of Donato's robot into my portrait. Right now all i really have is the portrait part mostly rendered but i plan on making the cloths into the reflective metal to make a cyborg look to her.

  1. Good start Jake! One thing that might help. Stephanie Cox, Im sure you remember her, told me that it may make my work stronger if I work with a brush twice a big as I think it needs to be. This will help with all of the little fidgety brush strokes, and will help you focus more general to specific, instead with little detail earlier in the painting. Hope this helps, I look forward to the finished piece!

  2. I wonder what would happen if you just had a photo of an environment and used that as the image to reflect onto the body or clothing. Use a similar image, but not the same as a background.

  4. Definitely a good start. I can already imagine how good her clothes will look! Good luck. Reflective objects are difficult.
