Sky Crawler

My entry for the new creature planet on cghub.com. The creature's name is the sky crawler and the only restrictions were we could not use wings as a way of making the creature fly.

Portrait update

More work on the portrait. Almost done, but have a few more touches here and there. Used overlay layers to increase depth. I also added the shadow on the hand to show the light pushing through the hair.

Just trying to get some face painting practice in, and play a bit with lighting.

Saw the movie Women in Black and decided to come home and do some inking. Sorry for the low resolution shot. I can't find my camera and had to use my phone

Results of Draw-a-thon VII

Well even though I did not stay the whole time. I still got some good work in. The imagoes shown are in no particular order.

3 hour ink drawing of Francis after our 2ed model canceled on us 20 min. before they were supposed to be in.

What was supposed to be a 3 hr. reclining pose. I only did 1 hr. an

d took a break for lunch away from the Art Center.

The last drawing of the night before I got so tired I had to go home and sleep. 1 hours sitting pose

5 warm ups, 2 min. each

2 more warm ups only this time 5 min each

The left is a 10 min drawing and the right is the first long pose of the day. It was 2 hr.

Mermaid returns

went back to working on the mermaid. Needed a break from it i guess but it looks a lot better already.

Trying to get a more painted feel so i am using a textured brush.
